Responsibilities:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse will provide direct services to children, adolescents, and their families, which includes but is not limited to evaluation and assessment, medication management, psychotherapy, counseling, education for parents and consumers, record keeping, and collaboration with other professionals and community services.
- Conduct evaluations and manage care for clients through direct encounters on a weekly basis and as required.
- Engage in direct care activities, including prescribing and managing medications, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and making referrals or consultations.
- Document patient interactions through weekly progress notes.
- Update treatment plans on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists regarding shared cases and treatment teams on a weekly basis and as necessary.
- Provide cross-coverage for psychiatric team cases.
- Assist with patient admissions, including initial evaluations and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison for patient families.
- Coordinate with outpatient providers for client care.
- Assist with utilization reviews for clients.
- Complete discharge recommendations as part of collaborative discharge summaries.
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment while adhering to the requirements of Physician Collaborative Agreements.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- APRN License issued by the state of practice.
