Position Overview

Faulkner University is in search of a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Human Resources Associate. This position is pivotal in delivering outstanding service to both our internal community and external stakeholders. The primary responsibilities include managing benefits, payroll, and facilitating in-house professional development initiatives. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training to assist in all facets of human resources operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee in-house professional development programs and mandatory training for staff.
  • Manage leave requests in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Support documentation and administrative tasks related to various employee benefits.
  • Maintain and update departmental reports regularly.
  • Coordinate employee insurance benefit plans and assist with enrollment processes.
  • Handle COBRA and Workers' Compensation administrative duties.
  • Assist in managing the University's retirement plan.
  • Provide support in the payroll processing for the university.
  • Prepare monthly reports and manage accounts payable.
  • Conduct training sessions on benefits, new hire orientations, and exit interviews.
  • Help organize university events for staff members.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience in human resources is preferred.
  • Must be an active member of the church of Christ.
