Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage employee relations, including recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training, and development programs.
  • Partner with the union on employee relations issues and contract negotiations.
  • Lead employee improvement teams to promote positive employee relations and encourage employee participation in safety programs, event planning, and committees.
  • Develop and conduct Human Resources training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Administer and assist employees with annual benefits open enrollment and manage payroll and Human Resources automated systems.
  • Represent the company in unemployment insurance claims, appeals, and hearings.
  • Manage Human Resources data retention and records management processes.
  • Provide support for Human Resources activities, including continuous improvement initiatives, employee engagement activities, affirmative action plan, integration, acquisitions, and staffing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred; PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Seven years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing setting; experience in a union facility preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong analytical skills; strategic thinker.
  • Ability to coach managers, supervisors, and employees through complex, difficult, and emotional situations.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications; ability to learn and operate Oracle, Kronos, JDE, Infinium, and other business management software.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Able to work independently and in group settings.
  • Ability to adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.
