Customer Service Specialist Job Description

At The Sherwin-Williams Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, answering customer inquiries, and recommending products to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in selecting the right products and services to meet their needs, providing expert knowledge and recommendations.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, following company policies and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide personalized service.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Previous experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Knowledge of paint and coatings products and services.
