Position Overview:

Capstone is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to provide essential support for our technology infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive system administration for AIM / LAS environments, encompassing all associated hardware and software as specified in the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
  • Oversee automated scripts, promptly reporting any failures to the relevant teams.
  • Manage updates and patches for all designated software, including Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Submit and monitor tickets for routine system maintenance with the appropriate IT infrastructure departments.
  • Conduct general system administration for application servers, ensuring proper access control is maintained.
  • Evaluate system performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Inform affected users 48 hours prior to any scheduled downtime.
  • Alert users of issues immediately upon identification.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities utilizing the Vulnerability Risk - Asset Manager (VRAM) System and automated scanning tools, adhering to government-approved products.
  • Participate in annual security reviews and contingency testing.
  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists as mandated by Risk Management Framework (RMF) schedules.
  • Execute configuration changes as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance of all software with applicable IA Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins and Navy IA policy.
  • Establish and uphold DoD compliant administrative, operational, technical, and physical safeguards to protect systems and data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation of Government information.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an Interim Secret Clearance at the time of employment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software, systems/network architecture, project management, or cloud infrastructure.
  • IA Contractor Training and Certification and Computing Environment (CE) certification may be required at the task order level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Business, Engineering, Physical Science, or a comparable field, along with certifications such as CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, or equivalent.
