Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee air quality permitting and compliance initiatives, collaborating closely with clients to define project scopes and objectives.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to enhance client relationships and identify opportunities for business development.
  • Lead project teams in strategizing effective permitting and compliance methodologies, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and engage with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with federal air regulations, including PSD/NSR, Title V, NSPS, MACT, NESHAP, and state air construction permitting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Utah's air quality regulations.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to cultivate relationships, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and fulfill client expectations.
  • Self-motivated with a flexible working style and a focus on customer service.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify challenges and propose effective solutions while being open to travel as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a consulting environment.
  • 15+ years of experience in federal air regulations.
  • Familiarity with BACT/RACT/LAER evaluations.
  • Knowledge of the power, fuels, mining, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies and demonstrated relationship-building skills.
