As the Chief Brand Strategist, you will be instrumental in driving brand success by establishing and nurturing strategic alliances with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Your role will encompass building robust relationships with OEM corporate representatives, assessing market dynamics, refining sales and aftersales methodologies, and ensuring alignment with AutoNation's overarching strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with essential OEM corporate representatives and grasp all significant OEM metrics.
  • Leverage OEM platforms to utilize data for informed strategic decision-making.
  • Perform comprehensive market evaluations, including sales and aftersales performance metrics, distribution analyses, and site assessments.
  • Assess process implementation across all dealership functions and ensure staffing is optimized for peak performance.
  • Analyze survey patterns and coordinate mystery shopping initiatives.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and market teams to formulate action plans addressing performance gaps and driving outcomes.
  • Promote accountability through training, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Work in tandem with analytics, facilities, marketing, and HR teams to bolster brand initiatives.
  • Monitor dealership performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Employ technological tools to boost sales productivity, identify opportunities, and conduct root cause analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Over 7 years of experience in OEM manufacturing and the automotive retail sector.
  • Expertise in negotiating framework agreements and interpreting financial documents.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
  • Profound understanding of retail/dealership and OEM operations.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance standards within the automotive sector.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently across various OEMs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • A proactive mindset towards discovering innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
