Job Summary

The Cleveland Clinic Foundation is seeking a highly qualified Medical Director to lead its Obesity Program. As a key member of the Cleveland Clinic team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for obesity management, including clinical, educational, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for obesity management, aligning with the Cleveland Clinic's mission and goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of experts in obesity medicine, surgery, and related fields to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Collaborate with department chairs, institute chiefs, and leadership to ensure seamless integration of obesity services across the organization.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to support obesity initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, research institutions, and industry partners to advance obesity care and research.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in obesity medicine and surgery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with a doctorate degree in medicine and certification/licensure.
  • Postdoctoral training in Obesity Medicine and/or Obesity Surgery strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles in the field of obesity, with strong clinical management experience and a track record of quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
