About the Role

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Housing Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support services to young adults aged 18-24 in our community.

Job Summary

The Youth Housing Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the program's contract guidelines, providing rental assistance, and offering intensive case management services to program youth. You will work closely with local landlords and housing authorities to secure apartment opportunities for program participants.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strengths-based services to program youth using Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing techniques in individual and group settings.
  • Conduct outreach activities to identify potential program participants, arrange interviews, and facilitate the selection process.
  • Enter program youth into the homeless client management information system, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
  • Develop relationships with local landlords and housing authorities to secure affordable housing options for program participants.
  • Plan and organize regular group events, including roommate facilitation meetings, budgeting/savings workshops, and community-building activities.
  • Teach independent living skills to support self-sufficiency and assist youth in reaching their personal goals.
  • Evaluate each program participant's eligibility and compliance with program policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with adolescents.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and agency-required liability insurance.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
