SALARY RANGE: $13.00 - $16.00

BENEFITS: All full-time positions include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. The biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 for Employee plus Children, $120.00 for Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 for Employee plus Family.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for welcoming and directing incoming applicants, ongoing participants, and other visitors to the appropriate personnel or department for assistance. Manage a multi-line switchboard and oversee the processing of incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain a computer software tracking system for requisitions and other services provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcome individuals as they arrive.
  • Maintain a log for visitors and participants.
  • Identify the appropriate personnel for visitors, provide directions, and announce their arrival to counselors as necessary.
  • Handle a multi-line phone system, transferring calls and taking messages as required.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Track requisitions, fuel vouchers, and other items using Microsoft software.
  • Maintain basic office equipment such as fax machines and copiers.
  • Oversee the management of departmental office supplies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Monitor staff availability and update the IN/OUT tracking system.
  • Review and distribute newspaper articles related to Employment, Training, Job Opportunities, and Tribal operations.
  • Perform light typing duties, including requisitions and various other tasks.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess a pleasant speaking voice with effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computer keyboards, word processors, and/or typewriters.
  • Maintain a reasonably clear driving record to be eligible to operate tribally insured vehicles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Engage in repetitive work at the computer.
  • Perform some bending and stretching.
  • Lift light items for file management and miscellaneous clerical tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Office environment with occasional travel to satellite offices and/or for training purposes.
  • May involve transporting clients in a tribal vehicle for business-related activities.
