Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Training and Development Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Customer Care Global Training team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering onboarding and new hire training programs for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires, focusing on process orders and inquiries for multiple ERPs (Enterprise Resource Systems).
  • Trainer Certification: Successfully complete the Trainer certification process for new hire training programs.
  • Ongoing Training and Development: Provide delivery of ongoing systems and professional training programs via instructor-led and virtual delivery methods, with a focus on skills and behavior transfer.
  • Training Materials Development: Create job aids, Training Bulletins, and other training materials to support the knowledge needs of the team.
  • Training Evaluation and Improvement: Track attendance, evaluate training programs for effectiveness, and ensure courses are maintained and updated.
  • Research and Industry Trends: Research industry trends, concepts, and techniques for delivering high-quality learning experiences to diverse audiences.
  • Project Team Representation: Represent the Training function in project teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education, training and development, organizational development, business communications, or a related field is desired. High School Diploma or equivalent is required with applicable working experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in training or a similar field.
  • Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, including both written and verbal communication. Basic understanding and ability to apply adult learning theory to ensure learner engagement.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to quickly learn various system applications with access to a Subject Matter Expert. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
