Job Summary

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced West Market Director-Energy Providers to lead our Energy Providers Practice. This role requires a self-motivated, driven professional with strong sales and business acumen, a proven track record of success in complex solution selling, and a solid understanding of Utilities & Energy business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive growth and customer satisfaction in Guidehouse's Energy Providers Practice through crafting, selling, and overseeing delivery of strategic advisory, technology, and risk management consulting engagements.
  • Develop and expand long-term client relationships that will lead to repeat business, meeting and exceeding sales targets set.
  • Lead the pursuit and closure of new consulting engagements.
  • Build deep trusted advisor relationships with key Utility client stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior consulting professionals in our delivery and solutions teams across Guidehouse to cross-sell a broader range of Guidehouse offerings to our Energy Provider clients.
  • Improve client business performance through benchmarking, process improvement, performance metrics, operating risk assessment, and implementation of continuous improvement principles for clients.
Requirements
  • Due to the nature of client engagements, must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • Ten (10+) plus years' consulting experience within energy utilities, excluding Oil & Gas or Telecommunications.
  • Executive level Power Utilities/Commercial Energy business experience with a deep background in the energy utility industry, including market infrastructure, asset management, regulation, and clean energy trends.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Western Interconnect infrastructure, operations, and challenges.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation software.
