Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager provides essential financial guidance to the manufacturing facility. This role is integral to the leadership team, collaborating closely with the Site Leader and Business Financial Leader to achieve operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Operations Planning: Engage in the formulation of operational goals that align with corporate and divisional strategies. Drive the development of contingency plans and productivity enhancements to optimize financial outcomes.
- Financial and Operational Oversight: Ensure a robust system of internal controls, including data integrity and compliance with corporate policies and regulations. Lead the Continuous Sign-off process to clarify accountability for internal controls.
- Reporting and Financial Analysis: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Analyze variances and provide risk assessments for strategic planning.
- Enhancing Plant Profitability: Implement strategies to meet financial targets while managing risks. Provide insightful analytics to inform decision-making and support contract evaluations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across various organizational levels to achieve plant and corporate objectives. Share best practices and align resources to address challenges.
- Talent Development: Foster an environment that encourages talent growth through effective performance management and training initiatives. Ensure succession planning for key roles.
- Process and Compliance Leadership: Oversee compliance processes at third-party logistics facilities and ensure safety and security standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, CMA, CPA) preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing context, with a focus on operations planning and financial forecasting.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of corporate finance and manufacturing cost principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage costs through strategic business case development.
- Demonstrated capacity to understand market dynamics and drive profitability.
