The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for managing various machinery, trucks, and tractors to facilitate the repair, upkeep, and construction of resort facilities and utilities.
Job Details:
- Housing: Potentially Available
- Anticipated Pay Range: $22.76 / hour
- Work Schedule: Full Time hours offered
- Experience Level: Entry Level
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance on slopes and operate all machinery utilized by the Mountain Operations team, including but not limited to Skid Steers, Forklifts, and Backhoes.
- Oversee all equipment, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed and communicated to the Vehicle Maintenance team.
- Engage in physical labor as required by the diverse range of tasks associated with the resort.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Accurately diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Play a supportive and constructive role in the training of new and developing operators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED - preferred
- Valid Driver's License – required
- Prior experience with heavy machinery - required
- Previous experience in guest service - required
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English - required
- Capability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks - required
- Ability to work outdoors in a high-altitude environment - required
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience operating heavy equipment - required
- Familiarity with power tools - preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, understanding, and comprehending English fluently
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs
The anticipated pay range for this position is $22.76. This reflects the compensation we expect to offer for this role, with individual pay decisions based on various factors.
