Coffee Roasting Assistant

We are currently looking for a Coffee Roasting Assistant to join our dynamic team at Masterpiece Cafe. This role involves supporting the Coffee Roaster throughout the entire coffee roasting process, from sourcing beans to ensuring timely delivery. Responsibilities encompass roasting, packaging, and distributing coffee beans, as well as delivering supplies to various ARC locations. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and possess a valid driver's license. Key Responsibilities

Roasting Coffee Beans:

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of coffee roasting equipment to achieve optimal roast profiles.
• Monitor roast profiles and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the roasting process to preserve flavor and aroma.

Packaging of Roasted Coffee Beans:

• Support the packaging of roasted coffee beans in various formats, including whole bean and ground.
• Label packages accurately with details regarding roast date, origin, and flavor notes.
• Ensure that packaging materials comply with safety and quality standards.

Shipping and Delivery:

• Coordinate the internal shipping of roasted coffee beans to our coffee shops and centers.
• Deliver coffee beans and other supplies to various ARC facilities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Awareness of safety protocols.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Capability to read detailed instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in operating computers and other office equipment.
• Mobility to navigate around the office and community.
• Maintain respectful relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Foster positive working relationships with staff and clients.
• Report any policy or personnel issues to supervision.
• Protect the privacy of all staff and client information in accordance with established policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
