About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Coffee Roaster to join our team at Masterpiece Cafe, a part of Addiction Recovery Care. As an Assistant Coffee Roaster, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Coffee Roaster and the entire coffee roasting process from sourcing beans to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roasting Coffee Beans: Assist in operating and maintaining coffee roasting equipment to achieve desired roast profiles, monitor roast profiles and make adjustments as necessary to ensure consistent quality, and conduct quality control checks throughout the roasting process to maintain flavor and aroma.
  • Packaging of Whole and Ground Roasted Coffee Beans: Support packaging roasted coffee beans in various formats, including whole bean and ground, label packages with accurate information regarding roast date, origin, and flavor notes, and ensure packaging materials meet safety and quality standards.
  • Shipping and Delivering Coffee Beans: Coordinate internal shipping of roasted coffee beans to our coffee shops and centers, and deliver coffee beans and other supplies to various ARC centers and facilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Valid drivers license
  • Safety awareness
