About the Role

Cleric is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to lead the development and execution of our AI SRE solution. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for positioning our product in the market, driving product adoption, and building the AI SRE category.

You will collaborate closely with early customers to gather requirements and translate them into product features. You will design and implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces for complex data visualization and system management. You will develop end-to-end product features that span frontend to backend to support our AI agent's functionality and user interactions.

You will partner with our AI team to ensure our architecture supports and enhances our agent's capabilities. You will expand our agent's functionality by integrating new tools and improving our evaluation systems. You will maintain and enhance our continuous deployment pipeline, ensuring good test coverage to give us confidence to do daily releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Cleric's AI SRE solution
  • Position our product in the market and drive product adoption
  • Build the AI SRE category
  • Collaborate with early customers to gather requirements and translate them into product features
  • Design and implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces for complex data visualization and system management
  • Develop end-to-end product features that span frontend to backend to support our AI agent's functionality and user interactions
  • Partner with our AI team to ensure our architecture supports and enhances our agent's capabilities
  • Expand our agent's functionality by integrating new tools and improving our evaluation systems
  • Maintain and enhance our continuous deployment pipeline, ensuring good test coverage to give us confidence to do daily releases

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of the Python ecosystem
  • Experience with frontend technologies like React, HTML, and CSS
  • Solid grasp of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated testing
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, including Kubernetes and microservices
  • Experience building secure, scalable, and resilient software systems
  • Interest in AI and machine learning, even if it's not your primary focus

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with tools like Kafka or similar event-driven architectures
  • Experience in AI or machine learning applications
  • Previous work experience in a startup environment

Interview Process:

  • Intro call: We'll talk about your experience + the company, product & the role.
  • Software engineering session (1 hour): We'll build a simple application together. Think practical software engineering and not leetcode.
  • System design session (90 mins): We will work through a system design problem with you. This will be related to the work you do daily.
  • Product thinking and frontend engineering (60 mins): We'll review.
  • Food: Grab coffee / lunch / dinner with both founders. We'll talk about team culture, your motivations and get into any deep questions you have.
