About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Manager to join our team at Toyota Financial Services (TFS). As a key member of our Technology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design and implementation of a best-in-class data protection program
  • Manage a team of data security professionals
  • Collaborate with the security team and global stakeholders on new or emerging cyber threats to data
  • Conduct regular threat assessments and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance data security
  • Respond to data security incidents and provide post-event analyses
  • Identify and improve processes through automation and defined measurements for ongoing program maturity
  • Support Incident Response activities as needed
  • Lead and influence current and future technology decisions with management, Security Architects, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in Cyber Security or Data Management roles
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team
  • Proficient in data security techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend effective solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the threat landscape and security controls used to defend the enterprise
  • A positive attitude and a customer service-oriented mindset
  • Strong verbal and written abilities to engage with technical and non-technical resources
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated personality who can work independently and in team settings with minimal direction or guidance
