Job Title: Commissioning Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our team at Flexicrew Technical Services.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement commissioning philosophies, schedules, and procedures during project detailed design phase.
  • Lead the commissioning and start-up of all systems, ensuring completion of the commissioning work-scope in a logical and controlled sequence and to project specifications.
  • Direct day-to-day commissioning activities, executing commissioning procedures and managing a commissioning team consisting of engineers, technicians, operations personnel, contractors, and vendor support personnel.
  • Support system handover and acceptance from the construction team, including system discipline walk-downs and punch list generation.
  • Report to the project manager on commissioning issues, start-up schedule, and progress.
  • Interface with client management regarding commissioning and start-up.
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of commissioning resources.
  • Define system priority handover list from construction to commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning budgets.
  • Develop and review commissioning test equipment and material take-offs for execution.
  • Develop vendor call-out requirements and schedules for specialized vendor-supplied equipment and overall vendor coordination.
  • Witness and ensure documentation of tests related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing activities, in accordance with the QA/QC plan.
  • Prepare systems for final inspection and handover to operations after commissioning procedures are complete.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting commissioning team staff members, declaring and assigning roles and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of oil and gas construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations experience, particularly commissioning and start-up experience of large capital projects and multi-discipline deepwater facilities.
  • Experience with writing and reviewing reports.
  • Strong communication skills with external stakeholders, craft, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing, walking, and safely navigating stairs, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and heights when required.
  • Ability to pass drug screening as per client requirements.

  • Perform work safely and effectively, understanding and following oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines, with occasional overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various locations with varying conditions.
