Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete medical histories and physical data on patients.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform complete physical exams and record findings.
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Administer medications and injections according to physician direction.
- Suture minor lacerations.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Provide patient education and instructions on medications and treatment.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
- ARNP experience required; Primary Care experience highly preferred.
- Computer experience required.
- Possession of a stated registered nurse/ARNP license.
