Job Responsibilities:

As an Artisan Bread Specialist, you will be tasked with crafting a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts, utilizing both traditional and innovative recipes.
  • Ensure punctuality and proper time management, including adherence to meal and rest breaks as per labor regulations.
  • Follow established recipes and guidelines meticulously.
  • Prepare an array of pastry items alongside various bread types.
  • Maintain portion control and presentation standards as directed by the Chef.
  • Collaborate with culinary leaders to develop seasonal and creative dessert offerings.
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as necessary throughout your shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Utilize and care for all kitchen equipment effectively.
  • Assist with additional kitchen tasks as assigned to meet departmental needs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality service and perform other duties as required by management.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Flexible availability.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute both written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and knife skills.
  • Capability to take direction and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational abilities.
  • Prior experience in baking or pastry preparation.
  • Understanding of fundamental cooking skills and safety practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
  • Proficiency in using all relevant kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and provide timely assistance to management and colleagues.
  • Composure in unusual situations.
  • Capability to perform essential job functions effectively.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and regular lifting of 30 pounds.
  • Frequent hand movements, including grasping and turning objects.
  • Ability to reach for items at various heights.
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, and climbing as required.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Other Requirements:
  • Completion of Sexual Harassment Training.
  • Understanding of health department regulations related to food service.
