Position is contingent upon contract award.

As the Senior ATCALS/C2 Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of standard ground radar and airfield systems and equipment platforms. This includes air traffic control radars, ground aircraft control and warning radar systems, air traffic control radios, as well as meteorological and navigational aid systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and resolve installation, repair, and modification issues related to ATCALS and C2 equipment, utilizing line-of-sight and tropospheric scatter techniques.
  • Conduct thorough testing to restore and maintain operational systems.
  • Utilize layout drawings, schematics, and pictorial diagrams to address maintenance challenges and ensure correct equipment positioning.
  • Analyze the construction and operational characteristics of equipment to identify malfunctions, performing detailed alignment and calibration procedures to achieve optimal performance.
  • Review and ensure adherence to maintenance management publications and procedures.
  • Uphold safety standards during system maintenance activities.
  • Verify installed and repaired components for compliance with technical documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive inspection and maintenance records.
  • Document entries in maintenance and inspection logs.
  • Record meter readings and other relevant data in equipment logs.
  • Complete maintenance data collection forms, requisitioning and accounting for supplies and materials.
  • Oversee systems such as DME, ILS, MMLS, MPN-23, UPS, RCSU-2238, TACAN, TRN-44, VOR, and various other monitoring equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Relevant Associate's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of recent, relevant, and practical experience with the equipment you will maintain and oversee.
  • Six (6) years of experience working with electronic systems is mandatory.
  • Formal electronics training such as military technical training, vocational college, or a four (4) year electronics apprenticeship program is essential.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • COMSEC/IP networking equipment requires IAT Level II baseline certification.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • In-depth familiarity with assigned equipment, standard maintenance practices, documentation, and processes.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. Passport is preferred.
  • Must meet all current deployment policy requirements as outlined in relevant guidelines.
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
  • Willingness to endure long hours and exposure to various weather and hazardous conditions.
