About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team in Pink Hill, North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medication dispensing, while also providing exceptional customer service to our patients and healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify prescription orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Interpret prescription orders and exercise professional judgment to ensure patient safety and legal limitations
- Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations, as well as applicable guidelines for compounding
- Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed and answer questions from patients, doctors, and nurses
- Oversee the work of technicians and provide feedback to their supervisor regarding their performance
- Log all error medication occurrences and maintain accurate records
- Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required
- 1+ years of related experience in a long-term care pharmacy setting
- Advanced computer skills, with experience in pharmacy operations systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines, with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on quality and patient safety
