Hotel Front Desk Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at the Reikart House Hotel in Amherst, NY. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and promoting hotel amenities and services.

Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, register them into the computer, and provide accurate and timely information and services.
- Reservation Management: Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
- Cash Handling: Accept payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout, maintain a house bank, and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily.
- Security and Safety: Issue keys to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes, post miscellaneous charges as requested, and respond promptly to and resolve guest complaints.
- Communication: Answer telephone promptly and properly, being polite, courteous, and friendly, and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
