Job Title: Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our team at The Bowen Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service to Veterans and their families, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and understanding.

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing front-line operational support for the Veterans Experience Office's premier Contact Center. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong ability to empathize with customers, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Veterans and their families, addressing their questions, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize a multi-screen computer system, including a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application, to manage customer interactions and resolve issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer information, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing stress in a calm and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with VA employees, outside agencies, and the public to provide seamless customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • 6 months of work experience in customer service and call center environments.
  • Ability to work in a 100% virtual environment, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the military and veteran community programs is a plus.
