Cornerstone Research is seeking a highly skilled Valuation Specialist to join our Applied Research Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting robust and efficient valuation analyses in high-profile litigation cases.
Responsibilities
As a Valuation Specialist, you will work closely with experienced consultants, experts, and clients to provide analytical thought leadership, develop innovative valuation models, and engage in firm- and practice-building activities. Your expertise will be essential in leading teams in brainstorming, designing, and implementing valuation models, advising on best practices, and reviewing work to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a deep foundational knowledge of common valuation methodologies, such as DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions analyses, as well as related technical issues like cost of capital estimation and cross-border valuation. You will also have a strong understanding of specialized methodologies, such as real options valuation. With a minimum of five years of experience in detailed, nuanced applications of these methods, preferably in litigation, particularly in the Delaware Chancery Court, you will be well-equipped to handle complex valuation challenges. A related advanced degree and background, such as a Finance PhD with a strong training in Accounting or an Economics degree with an MBA, will be highly valued.
