We are currently in search of a full-time Lighting Technician Level II to join our team.

We welcome candidates with a background in Event Technology who are eager to advance their careers in live event lighting, specifically with stage lighting equipment, dimming systems, and console programming.

Compensation for this Lighting Technician Level II role ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup and Management:

  • Setup and focus of lighting fixtures, operation of electrical and dimmer controls, and programming of lighting consoles.
  • Knowledge of rigging safety protocols for lighting equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with CAD or Vectorworks is advantageous.
  • General knowledge of Audio, Lighting, Rigging, Décor, and Staging.
  • Equipment handling including pulling, loading in, setting up, operating, taking down, and loading out.
  • Responsibilities related to warehouse and equipment maintenance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in the Event Technology sector, particularly in hotel or convention center settings.
  • A demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in live events, supported by relevant work or volunteer experience, or education in Event Technology.
  • Basic knowledge of live event stage lighting, with a willingness to learn and master new equipment and systems.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and effective time management.

Compensation for this Lighting Technician Level II position is between $21-25/hr, depending on experience.
