Position Summary:
The Audio-Visual Installation Specialist will play a crucial role in the enhancement and modernization of Department of Defense facilities. This position requires a Top Secret clearance, with SCI preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
The specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for the installation and cabling of electronic systems.
  • Terminating and dressing various types of cabling, including Ethernet and fiber optic.
  • Installing, testing, and documenting AV equipment such as monitors, speakers, and control panels.
  • Updating design documents to reflect 'as-built' changes during installation.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot network infrastructure issues.
  • Conducting necessary pre-installation tests and documenting results.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • An Associate's degree or technical certification.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in AV systems installation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Top Secret clearance, with preferred certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).

Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Practical knowledge of IT and AV systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • The capability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Physical Requirements:
This role may require:

  • Frequent lifting and moving of heavy objects.
  • Working in various environments, including construction sites.
  • Maintaining physical stamina and balance.
