Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance with meat purchases and ensuring that they have a positive shopping experience.
  • Meat Handling and Display: Check temperatures frequently in the meat cases and ensure that they are at proper levels, arranging meat products within display cases to meet Vallarta Supermarkets' standards.
  • Ordering and Pricing: Place meat orders on weigh scales and print out the correct pricing for purchases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean workstation, wash hands frequently with hot water, and wear proper headwear, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with special cuts for customers, lift and move boxes and product, and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a meat department or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent customer interactions and exposure to meat products and equipment.
