Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Banking Associate to join our team at Ventura County Credit Union. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, handling cash transactions, and promoting our financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist members with financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Manage cash, including counting cash back to members, tracking funds, and balancing daily totals.
  • Deliver solutions to members with empathy, explaining products and services, and referring them to the appropriate branch representative and/or support department for additional follow-up.
  • Identify referral and cross-sell opportunities to expand the member relationship based on account history and needs.
Requirements
  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience required, with a minimum of 6 months of experience.
  • Experience handling large amounts of cash, including balancing totals and resolving discrepancies.
  • Professional, friendly, and positive outlook.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
