Job Title: Director of Information Governance

At Davis Wright Tremaine, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Governance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information governance program that ensures the firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for information governance that aligns with the firm's business objectives.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures for information management, including records retention, classification, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with information governance policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on information governance best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure the firm's information governance program remains current and effective.
Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in records and information management, with direct supervisory experience of teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Experience with records management systems and document management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality control.
