About the Role:

The Ecommerce Pricing Analyst position at Bunzl Distribution USA is responsible for providing analysis of revenue, margin, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for various product categories and customer market segments for our website, catalog, and various marketing material.

This role involves creating resell price of certain categories and marketplace channel pricing, as well as providing various reporting on key metrics for the website and results reporting on various marketing campaigns.

The successful candidate will conduct market research and intelligence gathering to maintain a competitive pricing database and monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and provide recommendations on item by item sell price and margin gains across various product categories for list price on web along with sale pricing for various marketing publications.
  • Strategic engagement with sales and category management to develop and implement pricing initiatives and maintain margin goals.
  • Monitor competitive market to ensure pricing stays in line with trends in the marketplace.
  • Leverage market intelligence to validate and benchmark competitive pricing.
  • Create pricing strategy for select categories and how to best grow margin.
  • Help to ensure our Private Brands have advertised pricing in line with competitor's product offering.
  • Follow and communicate product pricing policies to improve product positioning while improving margin.
  • Manage projects and initiatives within select categories and demonstrating the ability to meet defined timelines and provide proactive status communication to business partners.
  • Support ecom and marketing teams in various reporting on sales, profit and revenue.
  • Identify, learn, and communicate new products our competitors are offering on their websites and assist in identifying those products BPD should also be offering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ecommerce experience required.
  • Distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing and sales principles.
  • Solutions oriented focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work across a matrix global organization.
  • A strong ability to create a partnership atmosphere with internal and external resources while achieving key operating goals.
  • AS400 experience a plus.
  • A strong relationship builder who can foster excellent relationships and gain credibility quickly across all levels of the organization.

Technical Skills:

  • Must be process driven - continuously searching for ways to improve quality, accuracy, speed of response and departmental efficiency.
  • Knowledge of the distribution environment, supplier selection and qualification.
  • Product knowledge across multiple industries a definite plus.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word competency required.
  • Microsoft Power BI competency required.
  • Excellent process improvement abilities.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a sales-driven distribution environment.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
