Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Salty Processing Operator to join our team at the Campbell Soup Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of processing machinery, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate processing equipment to produce high-quality products within established guidelines and standards.
  • Mix ingredients, monitor temperature and moisture levels, and adjust as necessary to achieve optimal product quality.
  • Monitor and log current temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate and escalate quality issues to relevant team members.
  • Read and understand batch sheets, including following recipes and accurate weighing of raw materials.
  • Monitor for possible foreign matter and follow sanitation procedures for clean-ups and change-overs.
  • Track and dispose of waste, and maintain proper raw material levels.
  • Maintain inventory usage and proper disposal of cutter blades, and ensure Urschel Heads are running efficiently.
  • Test and receive new oil, treat, filter, and test used oil, and maintain the proper level of oil in processing equipment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of heat exchanger systems.
  • Monitor correct seasoning coverage amounts and adjust as necessary.
  • Practice and adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee will occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
