Position Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Department: Facilities Management

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Salary Grade/Level: Commensurate with experience

Position Summary:

This role is based onsite.

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance and support tasks within the production sector, ensuring that operations align with the objectives of delivering products and services that fulfill customer expectations regarding quality, quantity, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to quality management systems, including all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as outlined in the Training Matrix.
  • Organize cleaning operations, including routine and scheduled cleaning services.
  • Manage daily facility activities at the start and end of shifts.
  • Track and document cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with established guidelines for cleanroom environments.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for the scheduled maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other essential services.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs as needed, utilizing basic handyman skills.
  • Oversee procurement of general facility supplies such as cleaning products and disposables.
  • Travel between local facilities as required to fulfill maintenance duties.
  • Execute all responsibilities in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Assist in the implementation of safety measures.
  • Support material handling tasks, including the operation of forklifts and related equipment.
  • Assist in the relocation, assembly, and configuration of office and production spaces as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Effective communication skills to ensure high levels of internal customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple vendors to identify optimal solutions for the organization.
  • Completion of Vocational High School or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience of 2 or more years in facilities support services.
  • Handyman capabilities, with knowledge in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with operating various cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooers.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC and electrical systems to communicate needs to external vendors.
  • Strong communication and time management skills to achieve organizational goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 15 lbs.
