Position: Assistant Program Manager - Residential Behavior Program

Salary: $20-$22/hr + sign-on bonus

Summary: Turning Point, Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Program Manager to oversee programmatic duties. This role involves providing leadership support to the Program Manager in delivering care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injuries in residential settings. The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and human rights of the individuals served, while also implementing Individual Service Plans (ISP) and associated strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Program Manager in maintaining a secure environment and ensuring the human rights and safety of residents in a licensed residential facility.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to agency policies, ISP goals, and case management responsibilities, including timely documentation.
  • Assist and supervise residents with daily living activities such as hygiene, household tasks, cooking, shopping, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan menus that align with dietary requirements and ensure regular food procurement.
  • Facilitate transportation for residents to medical, dental, psychiatric, and other appointments as assigned.
  • Implement behavior plans and maintain necessary data collection, while guiding staff in understanding and executing these plans.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly, including communication logs, shift notes, incident reports, and medication administration records.
  • Lead efforts to ensure program staff follow operational policies and procedures as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff, clarifying program policies and procedures.
  • Engage positively with individuals, their families, providers, and other staff members.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and required training sessions.
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, MAP, and PABC as applicable.
  • Oversee medication management responsibilities, ensuring compliance with supervisory documentation and medical needs.
  • Monitor financial procedures within the program, ensuring accurate handling of funds and compliance with financial protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D required; Associate's Degree or ongoing education preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of direct support experience in residential settings or related fields.
  • Familiarity with behavior plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injuries.
  • Prior experience in staff training or leadership roles is advantageous.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, MAP, Human Rights Advocacy, and PABC (as required).
  • Successful completion of background checks prior to employment.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and mobility tasks.
  • Capability to drive a passenger van for resident transportation.
