Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the HVAC service and installation departments, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor HVAC technicians and installers, providing ongoing support, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and resolving issues effectively.
  • Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, monitoring financial performance and implementing cost-saving measures where applicable.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all HVAC services and installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on departmental performance, including key metrics such as service response times, job completion rates, and customer feedback, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, and industry standards, with relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, EPA) preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
