Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Project Management certification or equivalent; Knowledge and skills:

Proven experience in leading small to medium-scale new application development or infrastructure deployment projects.

Familiarity with various systems development life cycles, including Iterative, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

Ability to guide a team and manage all phases of complex systems assignments.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in MS Office Suite, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Basic knowledge of Clarity or other Portfolio/Program Management Software.

Professional Experience:

Over 7 years in an information technology role with a solid understanding of various technologies, including applications, databases, networking, telecommunications, and connectivity.

More than 5 years of experience in a Project Management capacity with a strong emphasis on team development.

Experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications where legally permissible.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership on multiple medium and occasionally large internal IT or business projects, encompassing financial, scope, schedule, and risk management responsibilities.

Create and implement project work plans, adjusting them as necessary to meet evolving needs while adhering to established project management processes and methodologies.

Oversee the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of business projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and objectives.

Direct, manage, plan, and oversee the operational and administrative activities of Information Technology and Business project teams.

Essential Functions:

Develop a communication strategy to ensure continuous updates to project team members, customers, and project sponsors regarding project status.

Identify required resources to complete tasks and collaborate with resource managers to assemble appropriate teams and skills.

Manage issues, risks, and changes using established processes and tools from the Project Management Office.

Determine project schedules, identify critical paths, and assess potential risks.

Effectively apply and enforce scheduling standards with project teams.

Lead the Project Team in maintaining project work plans and drafting necessary deliverables.

Forecast, manage, and report on project financials, including planned versus actual project schedules and resource utilization.

Understand basic revenue models and cost-to-completion projections, making informed decisions accordingly.

Facilitate Project Reviews and provide information for audits, status reports, and executive review meetings.

Accountable for delivering medium and occasionally large projects on time, within budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.

Manage both forecasted and actual project expenditures.
