Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
- Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of all testing and evaluation activities for various GPS modernization projects.
- Act as a consultant to government staff, providing expert advice on testing methodologies.
- Engage in potential liaison activities with other military branches and relevant program offices.
- Deliver management support services to guarantee the effective provision of acquisition services aligned with the mission objectives.
- Coordinate and manage all Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) activities, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Assist the Program Manager in making informed, objective assessments regarding testing plans and outcomes.
- Advise on testing responsibilities and issues as they arise.
- Participate actively in key reviews and readiness assessments.
- Facilitate the development of comprehensive testing strategies and documentation.
- Ensure that all test teams address and resolve any identified deficiencies.
- Work closely with the Product Support Manager to integrate testing strategies with system sustainment requirements.
- Participate in various technical meetings to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Draft and lead the Test Team Charter and oversee readiness review meetings.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need:
- U.S. citizenship
- An active DoD Secret security clearance
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in acquisition and testing
- Familiarity with AFLCMC Test Authority processes
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity testing requirements
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- A solid understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition framework
Preferred Skills
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:
- A Master's degree
- Top Secret Clearance (or eligibility)
- DAWIA T&E Certification
- At least 4 years of focused testing experience in a System Program Office
- Experience with GPS/Navigational systems and related technologies
- Familiarity with software testing processes
