Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Technician at Pratt Industries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to audit activities associated with quality control specifications and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings, and understand and comply with Pratt Industries' Safety rules and operating procedures.
- Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
- Learn and comply with Pratt Industries' quality procedures and policies.
- Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the customer.
- Superior time management skills and self-motivation are essential.
- Excellent attendance is a must.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret verbal and written instructions.
- Multi-tasking and ability to work with various challenges and deal with a variety of situations.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret operating instructions, training, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Will be involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers.
- Ability to perform process audits, data entry, management and control of documents, control of non-conforming supplier defects and returns, management of sorting and reworks, and management of weekly KPIs and/or compliances with CAR (Corrective Action Reports).
- Responsible for PAR (Preventive Action Reports).
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice.
Requirements
- Computer literacy.
- High school graduate or equivalent with related college degree and/or technical courses or associate (two-year) college degree.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a related field and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma preferred, OSHA or Safety related field.
Physical Demands
- Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
