Role Summary:

In the capacity of a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the safe and efficient functionality of all mechanical apparatus within the manufacturing facility. You will collaborate closely with the maintenance crew to troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, conduct preventative maintenance, and support equipment installations and enhancements.

Key Duties:

  1. Perform regular maintenance and inspections on all mechanical systems, including but not limited to motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems, executing necessary repairs promptly to reduce downtime.
  3. Carry out preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and avert potential breakdowns.
  4. Assist in the installation, upgrades, and modifications of equipment as required.
  5. Maintain precise records of maintenance operations, including completed work orders and spare parts inventory.
  6. Comply with all safety regulations and protocols while executing maintenance tasks.
  7. Work in collaboration with fellow maintenance personnel and production teams to identify and implement enhancements in processes.
  8. Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices to continuously refine maintenance methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in utilizing hand and power tools, along with diagnostic instruments.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
