Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair all areas within the hotel, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Execute standard procedures and ensure completion within a given time frame.
  • Ensure all logs, record sheets, and day-to-day events are correctly completed and kept up to date.
  • Respond to work requests from hotel guests or senior management within a given time frame.
  • Highlight and hand over any incomplete maintenance requests to Engineering Management.
  • Obtain assignments of the function list for the day via CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management System).
  • Continuously search for new ideas and product improvements to meet guest and colleague demands.
  • Display knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories, including fire life, health, safety, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, laundry, spa, carpentry, and finish skills.
Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience working around mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and finishing.
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any required licenses, certificates, or permits.
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury, or Forbes experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
