About the Job

At Alltex Staffing & Personnel, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment within our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on all mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and make necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels and to prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed work orders and inventory of spare parts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production staff to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
