Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality assurance processes within the Energy Services department. Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is tasked with the development and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting thorough audits, and executing various quality assurance initiatives to uphold the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and perform quality assurance tasks while proposing enhancements.
- Utilize quality assurance principles to formulate and revise SOPs and provide additional training materials.
- Ensure compliance with program policies and quality standards through regular audits across multiple programs.
- Recommend and implement supplementary training based on audit findings and observations.
- Employ quality assurance methodologies to document and validate adherence to departmental requirements.
- Coordinate and manage projects aimed at performance and process enhancements.
- Align with the goals set by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Training and Quality Manager.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Proficient customer service skills, maintaining composure in dynamic environments.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience in process improvement is advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and proficiency in root cause analysis.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Work Environment
This role primarily operates in an office setting, which may vary in noise levels. Some travel may be necessary, including potential overnight stays. The position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks such as sitting, standing, and using office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Employees must occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds and maintain a normal range of hearing and vision.
Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree or a minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is desirable but not mandatory.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in a non-profit organization is beneficial.
