Sugarbush Resort Restaurant Manager Job Description

Sugarbush Resort is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to lead the team at Rumble's Bistro and Bar, our premier restaurant located at the base of the mountain at Lincoln Peak. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a vital role in our year-round operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily floor plans to optimize guest service and staff efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to FOH servers and support team members.
  • Resolve guest issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and approachable demeanor.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to promote specials and events.
  • Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and ready for daily service.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and product management to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Uphold Alterra Mountain Company core values and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a calm, positive attitude during high-stress periods.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Office, and reservation systems.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Valid food handler's license and VT Liquor certification.
