Trailer and SRI Repair Technician

As part of our Technician Training Program, you will have the chance to enhance your skills through classes provided by Ford, GM, and U-Haul. In your role as a U-Haul trailer and SRI repair technician, you will utilize proprietary technology to evaluate and maintain vehicles in the field. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Secure trailers using lifts and dollies.
  • Conduct tire and brake maintenance.
  • Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
  • Dismount, balance, and mount tires.
  • Occasionally perform road tests on vehicles.
  • Work on a production line.
  • Utilize proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklists.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Consistent attendance.
Shift: Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation: Based on experience

Work Environment:

The role involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear may be necessary.

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical exertion, including extended periods of standing both indoors and outdoors, maneuvering to access tools, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
