Job Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for executing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, addressing everything from minor repairs to medium-scale renovation projects. This role requires the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight and encompasses various construction skills, including but not limited to basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall installation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Address service requests at various client locations.
  2. Carry out minor repairs on equipment and facilities as requested.
  3. Respond to urgent safety concerns impacting employees or customers.
  4. Provide daily updates detailing site visits, time spent on tasks, and any changes affecting the schedule.
  5. Document daily activities, including photographic evidence of job site conditions and completion.
  6. Assist in maintaining facility records by submitting necessary paperwork.
  7. Manage personal tool inventory effectively.
  8. Oversee vehicle maintenance and parts inventory.
  9. Inspect and troubleshoot systems to determine required repairs.
  10. Travel to various job sites to fulfill project requirements.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Flexible availability, including nights and weekends as needed.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  3. Experience in general trades or handyman services, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall.
  4. Possession of necessary tools and a vehicle for job functions.
  5. Ability to engage with a diverse clientele.
  6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  7. Self-driven and capable of working independently.
  8. Commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
  9. Compliance with all company and client policies.
  10. Demonstrated enthusiasm, persistence, and a positive attitude.
  11. Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  12. Possession of a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
