Position: Child Care Provider – Sunday

Location: The Riverside Church

Reporting To: Minister of Children & Families

Department: Children & Families

Work Schedule: Sundays, 10:15 AM to 12:45 PM

Compensation: $25 per hour

Position Summary:

The Child Care Provider is responsible for delivering consistent, nurturing, and secure care to children aged 0-3 years in a safe and clean environment. This role involves engaging children in stimulating activities while ensuring their safety and well-being under the guidance of the Minister of Children & Families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Safe Sanctuary policies at all times.
  • Complete CPR training as required.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate activities such as songs, stories, and crafts for children aged 0-3 years.
  • Provide essential care including feeding, diaper changes, bathroom assistance, and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe nursery environment, ensuring that all hazardous materials are out of reach of children.
  • Report any concerns regarding children or fellow staff members to the Minister of Children & Families.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops as directed.
  • Be available to work on holidays that coincide with Sundays and assist during peak times.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

  • Valid identification and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience caring for children aged 0-3 and the ability to adapt to various personalities.
