About the Role

We are seeking a Consulting License Practical Nurse to oversee the health and wellness of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential group homes.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the directive of the RN to support the Direct Support Staff and Approved Medication Personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with Medical appointments and follow-ups (i.e., appointments, labs, diagnostic testing, etc.).
  • Monitor Medication and Treatment regimen for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Observe and report to the RN any health and safety concerns of the people supported.
  • Administer medication as needed.
  • Review, audit, and Maintenance of individuals' medical records.
  • Provide training to staff in areas of nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid NYS RN license in good standing.
  • 1-2 years of RN experience is highly preferred.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination required.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is highly preferred.
