Labor Management Specialist

As a skilled Lab Supervisor at Quest Diagnostics, you will oversee the activities of the department, distribute and assign work, determine priorities, and schedule non-routine procedures. This role requires a strong leader who can perform supervisory functions for their assigned staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and train laboratory staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Perform advanced laboratory tests and procedures, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and implement quality-control measures, monitoring laboratory performance and making recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve laboratory efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to drive laboratory excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of full-time supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems.
- ASCPT certification or equivalent.
