RN Staff Educator Inpatient Oncology Specialist

The RN Staff Educator Inpatient Oncology role at Research Medical Center is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and research.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver educational programs tailored to the needs of nursing staff, incorporating best practices and research-based evidence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care that promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Conduct needs assessments, evaluate program effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in their professional development, including mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
- Stay current with industry developments, research, and best practices in oncology nursing, and apply this knowledge to inform educational programs and practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing and a current RN license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration or an active compact license.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in oncology nursing, with a strong background in teaching and education.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications, as well as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
